Body vibration at slow speed in BMW – what is the cause and how to fix it?

I have a problem with vibrations transmitted to the body at slow speeds. The previous owner told me that the catalytic converters were cut. On the forums they write that it is the fault of the flexible coupler. My question – are you familiar with this topic and can you count on BM Cars to fix the fault?

The problem concerned the BMW 3 – E46 2.0 diesel, but it also occurs in other models.

The described problem of vibrations transmitted to the body is a fairly common phenomenon in models with diesel engines. Excessive vibration can be caused by a defective pulley (vibration damper), defective engine cushions, or problems related to the engine itself (too low or wavy revs).

Problems related to the exhaust system, which has been poorly fitted after interference (e.g., cutting the catalytic converter, replacing the flexible coupler), usually cause audible reactions, the sound of the exhaust tip hitting the body, etc. On the other hand, they are rarely a source of vibration, transmitted to the body. Making an accurate diagnosis, requires a visit to the service center and a visual inspection of the vehicle.
