What is the installation of alcohol interlocks?
Alcohol interlock installation involves installing an electronic system that prevents a person under the influence of alcohol from starting a vehicle’s engine. Each time you turn off the engine and attempt to restart it, you must measure the alcohol content in the exhaled air (blow into the mouthpiece of the measuring device). Alcohol content above 0.2 per mille or an attempt to cheat the system will block the possibility of starting the vehicle for several to several minutes (depending on the settings).
