After what mileage should the timing chain be replaced on a BMW?

The manufacturer has not provided for replacement of the chain in BMW cars after a certain mileage. The state of the valve train is subject to control during, for example, the general inspection of the car, performed at the call of the on-board computer every 1 year. If there are any noises from the operation of the valve train(rattling, knocking, etc.) especially on a warm engine – you should immediately report to the service center for a detailed diagnosis. Operation of the car in such a case may lead to engine damage.
In other words, the timing chain is not replaceable, regardless of the BMW model.
The exception to this is excessive wear of the chain, sprockets, tensioner or sliding components, and a malfunction or failure caused by this.
