How to check if an alarm is installed in a BMW?

In most models of BMW cars equipped with factory alarms, there is a red light - indicator under the interior mirror.
The easiest way to check whether the car is equipped with an alarm, regardless of whether it is factory installed or added is to arm it, that is, to close the car from the remote control (key) wait about 30 seconds and open the door mechanically (key).
In the case of a functioning alarm, this way of opening the car should trigger the alarm (sound and light signal). The howling alarm can be turned off with the remote control (key).
In addition to having an alarm, consider installing additional security systems.
