Response from BM Cars service
Headlight fogging is an issue that affects many new BMW models.
There are very many different reasons for this effect. On new models equipped with xenon lights, the outer glass gasket kits are no longer available, and if the headlight is unsealed, the manufacturer recommends replacing it. Fogging can also be caused by a clogged vent valve or a crack in the lamp itself. Both faults are diagnosable only after the lamp is built from the vehicle.
