I would like to purchase a used BMW with 160,000 km mileage, but after a test drive I noticed the following two problems. The manual transmission reverse gear comes in very hard, you have to use considerable force. The second problem is vibration to the left and right of the transmission shifter at idle. At a standstill and while driving, it looks as if the transmission cushions are worn out. I would like to get your opinions as I cannot get a concrete answer anywhere. Have you had to deal with such defects? What specifically needs to be replaced and can such problems occur more frequently?

I have owned a BMW 3 for a year and the car uses about 1 liter of oil (Castrol edge 0w40) per 1,000 km. My question is: is this the norm for this engine or is there something wrong with it?
The problem was with a BMW 318i E90 with the N46B20B engine, but it can happen in other models as well.

When the temperature drops below zero, there is a jerking sensation in my car for the first few kilometers. In addition, there is white smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. The list of repairs I have done so far: remanufactured turbo, replaced thermostats, cleaned EGR, removed catalytic converter, removed intake flaps and removed DPF. I use BP ultimate fuel. There are no errors on the on-board computer. Please support.

The problem occurs during freezing weather. In my car with automatic transmission after putting R (reverse gear), sometimes D (gear for normal driving) the engine goes out. Clearly something is choking it, then it fires up normally. Only after the engine warms up does the problem disappear. Changes that have been made: new EGR, cut flaps, cleaned DPF, exhaust cooler, injectors, turbo. Zero errors on the computer. Please help.

I can’t open or close my car with the key fob. I know there could be quite a few causes. I checked the diversity antenna under the spoiler and made sure there is no moisture there. This module was replaced in 2014. I also opened the key itself and checked the battery voltage – it is about 3.2V. What could be the cause of such errors?

There was a problem of hard and high brake pedal on cold engine. The impression is as if the brakes are swollen. You have to use a lot of pressure to get the car to brake. The mechanic said that it is a brake servo that is worn out and should be replaced. The car has a mileage of 62,000 km.
Is this possible with such mileage?
