Error “cornering light failure” in BMW – how to fix?

BMW driver question

I have a small problem with adaptive lights. The car was gently damaged, the lamp was replaced and all the modules were rearranged. Everything seemingly works, only the message “cornering illumination failure” pops up and the halogen does not work. When connected to the computer, several errors pop up. My question is whether it is necessary to code the controllers in some way, or is it rather a result of the impact and the module to be replaced?

I am very much asking for help in this matter.

The problem was on the BMW 3 F30, but it happens on other models as well.

BM Cars service response

The described problem is related to the replacement of the controller with another one – new or used. Such a controller should be coded to the body and only then can it work properly. The condition, of course, is the efficiency of the controller and the possibility of its subsequent coding.

The problem is discussed in more detail on the page Electronics and Controllers in BMW.
