Warranty on parts and services

Every car service customer is covered. At BM Cars, we care about satisfaction and the rights of our drivers, which is why we cover this topic in detail. We are the few in the independent service industry to offer a 2-year warranty on parts and services.

Statutory consumer protection

As a customer of any car service center(authorized or independent), the vehicle is covered by a statutory warranty as described by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. If the warranty statement does not specify the period of protection, it lasts for two years, starting from the day the goods were issued to the consumer.

The warranty is provided by making a statement in any form, including advertising (television, Internet, etc.). The consumer has the right to demand that the guarantor issue a statement on paper or other durable medium.

Warranty for companies

The law defining the rules for providing guarantees applies only to consumers, i.e. non-business people.

What warranty applies when the serviced vehicle is owned by a company (business)?

After the repair, the service center should issue in writing the terms of the warranty agreement. In it, the time and other rules of its operation are specified.

What does this mean in practice?

By repairing the vehicle at any point, we are given a warranty for the replaced/repaired component. If it malfunctions again, we must report to the service center where we made the repair.

The guarantor, or the service center that replaced/repaired the component, must repair or replace the defective goods within the time specified in the warranty statement. If this time is not specified, it should do so immediately, no later than 14 days from the date of delivery of the item (car) by the customer.

The warranty will not apply if:

• the customer makes the repair at another service center,
• the customer makes the repair himself,
• the car will not be delivered to the service center (guarantor),
• the repair will be made outside the service center (guarantor),
• the car will continue to be used after the complaint (this risks the occurrence of further damage, which will no longer be subject to the warranty and will further complicate the issues of possible warranty claims).

Warranty at BM Cars

The prestigious BMW car brand requires high standards of repair. All the parts we offer – those genuine with the BMW logo and brand-name replacements– come with a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty. They come only from official and legal distribution channels.

In addition, we offer a 24-month repair service warranty. This means that all our work is covered by additional protection. This is not the norm among independent service centers, but we are confident in the quality of the services we offer. Every customer is covered by this protection regardless of the repairs performed.

The warranty for companies (business entities) is no different from the statutory warranty for consumers. It is granted without any additional restrictions for a period of 24 months. The conditions for its implementation also remain the same as for consumers.

Please note that our warranty does not cover the customer’s own parts. For safety reasons, we advise against buying suspiciously cheap and used components of unknown origin. In this situation, we only provide a repair warranty. If a vendor’s warranty has been given to the customer, the complaint should be addressed directly to the guarantor (seller).

In what time will the advertised part be replaced?

For the convenience of our customers, complaints are processed as soon as possible. Once a complaint is filed and an appointment is made, we are able to replace the defective component with a new one, on the spot. In the case of more complicated repairs, such as engine replacement, the maximum repair time is 14 days from the time the vehicleis delivered to the service center.

After reporting a complaint, please bring your car to our service center. This is the only way we can make warranty repairs.
