Shift rod vibration in BMW – what is the reason and how to fix it?

BMW driver question

I recently purchased a 2011 BMW F10 520 diesel 2011 mileage of 125k and I am concerned about one problem. Well, when firing up the engine, you can see a terrible vibration left and right on the gear stick (manual transmission). Later on, the stick keeps vibrating while the engine is running. In addition, after opening the hood, I noticed a strong vibration of the entire engine when the engine is warm or cold. Could it be some kind of pads, injectors or timing? Alternatively, what could be the cause of this and what to pay attention to?

The problem affected a 2011 BMW F10 520 diesel model, but it also happens in other models.

Response from BM Cars service

The problem of severe engine and transmission vibration that you described may be caused by excessive wear of the pulley (the so-called vibration damper) and worn engine and transmission cushions. During operation, the pulley around the metal rim cracks causing excessive wheel runout and eventually causing the pulley to flop.

He suggests a thorough check of the condition of the pulley and engine cushions.
