The clock does not hold the time and the dipped beam light does not come on in the BMW – how to fix it?

BMW driver question

Recently (probably due to frost) the watch does not “hold” the time. Is this the fault of the battery? If so, is it possible to replace it at BM Cars? The second question – the indicator light from the dipped headlights does not light up – here, too, are you able to fix such a failure?

The problem affected the BMW 1 Series E87, but it also happens in other models.

Response from BM Cars service

The described “resetting” of the clock is usually caused by too low battery voltage. However, making an accurate diagnosis requires a computer diagnosis of the vehicle.

The cost of the battery depends on the age and equipment of the vehicle, and we can determine it from the VIN number of the vehicle (the last 7 characters).

BMW cars do not have a separate indicator light for the switched-on low-beam headlights. The only signal that they are on is the appearance of the clock backlight.

You are welcome to use our service.
