Engine in BMW does not start – is the fuel pump defective?
BMW driver question
I have such a problem that the car began to start harder – I just had to keep on the starter longer. I decided to change the fuel filter and after replacing the fuel filter I drove 10 km and turned off the car and in 10 min I could not start again. It’s been like this for a week and I don’t know what to do next. Please reply.
The problem affected the E60 530d model, but it happens in other models as well.
BM Cars service response
The described problem can be associated with damage to the fuel pump. Very similar symptoms are associated with damage to other components in the fuel system, e.g. pressure sensor, injectors.
Making an accurate diagnosis requires a full diagnostics of the car. We invite you to take advantage of our service.
